About our Office: Chiropractic Care in Chillicothe

Furniss Chiropractic's mission is to provide personalized, high-quality chiropractic care, in Chillicothe, on an as-needed or preventative basis.  We have created a practice that we believe in and choose for our own family members.

We are a family practice that believes in working with our patients to maintain and improve their health. We work together to serve your entire family for all of your chiropractic needs in all stages of life. Our team believes in providing comprehensive health care services to our patients in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We also believe in educating our patients as we work with them to achieve the best physical state possible.

Our Chiropractic Physician is certified through the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and he has years of experience. Dr. Ryan Furniss graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida in 2006. He obtained a Bachelor’s in Applied Science from Ohio University before beginning his chiropractic education. After Palmer, he moved to and practiced in Wisconsin for 5 years. Dr. Furniss spent 2012 furthering his training in Functional Neurology by working with Dr. David Kemp in Jacksonville, Florida.

During his chiropractic education at Palmer, Dr. Furniss began a course of study at the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies. The Carrick Institute offers an exciting program of study in Clinical Neurology. This program qualifies chiropractors to be eligible to become a diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. The American Chiropractic Association, The American Chiropractic Association’s Council on Neurology and the Council on Chiropractic Specialties recognize this specialty board in Neurology for the chiropractic profession. Currently, Dr. Furniss is board eligible to sit for and obtain diplomate status.

Attending this postdoctoral program has driven Dr. Furniss to have great focus and interest in the following clinical presentations and problems:

Movement Disorders: Tremors, Dystonia, Ataxia, Tics and Spasticity.

Head and Neck: Vertigo, Dizziness, Headaches (Migraine and Non-Migraine).
Peripheral Neuropathies: Numbness or Pain in the Hands or Feet, Restless Leg Syndrome and Nerve Compression Syndromes.

Whether you suffer from chronic back pain, or need neck pain relief or low back pain relief or want to become well. Our office can help you reach your needs. Family chiropractic wellness also continues to be a top priority in this office. Many of the spinal health issues we deal with as adults can traced to our early child and adolescent years. All children and teens should be evaluated and monitored periodically for spinal dysfunction.

Dr, Furniss and his wife have three daughters. They enjoy time with family, riding bikes, trips to the park and various other outdoor activities.
